1. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
2. Select the account you wish to modify from the Accounts box, and click the Edit icon.
3. In the Receiving mail section, change the text in the IMAP server field to

mail.umich.edu

4. Click Click here for advanced receiving options.
5. Check the checkbox next to This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL).
   Then close that window.
6. Click OK, and close the Accounts window.
